Get Connected
College / Young Adults
There are over 50 million people between the ages of 18 – 35 in the U.S. with energy, ideas, creativity, and passion. Daniel leads the College and Young Adults at Naperville, helping them to use their gifts for the benefit of people and the purposes of God.
They also have a lot of fun along the way.
Communications
Jesus often used parables to communicate His message. He understood the power of properly chosen words.
Effective communication remains our goal today. In a world of Facebook, pdf’s, jpeg’s and websites, Naperville can use your talents for writing and art.
We have great messages to share, so please consider helping to share those messages.
Adult & Children’s Education
The Discipleship Ministry plans and coordinates curriculum for Sunday and Wednesday classes.
We welcome your involvement as both a participant and as a leader at whatever level(s) you feel comfortable. Consider how you can use your talents and interests to make a difference in the lives of others.
The Children’s Ministry offers a variety of special programs for your child. Bible classes meet every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., and every Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. We also offer worship experiences for our youngest members from toddlers through Kindergarten every Sunday during our 10:00 a.m. worship service.
ELL Teaching / FriendSpeak
In the face of dramatically changing demographics, the world arrives in our neighborhoods. Today our church has an opportunity like never before to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus right here in Naperville.
Naperville Church hosts FriendSpeak classes on Sunday morning. These classes are one-on-one or small group classes that teach English using the book of Luke as a text. Through these classes, internationals are given the opportunity to improve their conversational English skills while also learning about the life of Christ.
Evangelism
Evangelism is helping others come to a belief that Jesus is the Son of God and to make a decision for Jesus to be the Lord of their life. Evangelism can take many forms; the Evangelism Ministry helps develop plans to help each of us be evangelistic in ways suited for who we are.
Facilities
A home away from home. A place we can feel comfortable, safe, and part of the body of Christ. A place of refuge to the weary and welcome to the newcomer. God uses our building to be a blessing to us and those within the community around us.
It is a source of opportunity to serve the community and minister God’s word, love, and compassion. In order to continue these good works, the Facilities Ministry is dedicated to maintaining and caring for the building and campus grounds.
Fellowship
Get involved with your family! God created the church as an earthly gathering of his family. It’s a way for us to help each other be shaped into the image of Christ. We build bonds when we fellowship together.
Involvement Ministry
The purpose of the Involvement Ministry is to help members get connected in the life of the church and use their talents in one or more ministry areas.
Kitchen Crew
Food! What great opportunities we have to build friendships, have spiritual conversations and get to know each other while enjoying a meal.
Our Kitchen Crew makes it possible by serving us.
Volunteers can always be put to work! This allows everyone to enjoy the events we have. Consider signing up to help at the next event.
Leadership Training for Christ
LTC is designed to stimulate and encourage spiritual, mental and social growth among young people in grades 3-12 by developing skills in leadership, Bible knowledge and Christian service. Our students will make the trek to Indianapolis each year to participate in a variety of events at the annual convention.
The fellowship is phenomenal and you will have a blast watching our youth participate in events like Bible Bowl, Group Singing, Live Modern Drama, Puppets and Signing. Come join us – you will be glad you did!
Men’s Sports
Consider getting involved in one of the men’s sports leagues. These activities provide a Christian environment where you can strengthen relationships and your physical health all at the same time!
Talk to Craig for the latest softball, basketball, golf and other sports related news.
Praise Team
Encouraging us with their voices, the Praise Team enriches our worship experience through song.
In addition to the harmony they bring, through them we learn new music and gain appreciation for the hymns that are part of our Christian heritage.
Have a love for music? Let us know and let your musical abilities be a blessing to others.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry seeks to serve those who are hurting, both physically and/or mentally. Many times, those who are having difficulties find comfort in simple reminders that there are people who care and are praying for them. The shawls we make are meant to serve as this type of reminder.
Service
Jesus’ compassionate heart motivated Him to always reach out to those in need.
If your heart’s desire is to help those who have fallen on hard times (needing food, financial assistance, guidance, or encouragement), then this is a rewarding ministry in which you can make a lasting impact on people’s lives.
Teens
The NCOC Youth Ministry exists to help teens develop a lifelong love for Jesus through deep relationships within the church, activities that challenge and stretch faith, and teaching that brings the Word of God to life.
Take a look around the Youth Ministry Website to know more about us, but if you really want to know…you need to come see for yourself.
We hope you do.
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is a joyful summertime experience. Our children anticipate this week each summer. VBS typically occurs in July/August.
It provides many great opportunities for getting involved in simple ways, while being part of making memories for our children. We have this incredible privilege to teach them about God and His plan for their lives.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s Ministry hosts events during the year which focus on women. These events are designed to encourage and edify one another by sharing food, fun, special interest topics, acts of service, and most importantly, how God works in our lives.
World Missions
In 2008 the Naperville Church established the Missionary Support Team as a way to bring to life the Mission work that our church supports around the world; knowing in our hearts that this is God’s work and that it deserves a personal connection in addition to our monetary support.
Naperville Church currently partners with two mission sites by providing support:
- Mito, Japan
- the Middle East
Worship
We worship Him because He commands it. We worship Him because He alone deserves it, knowing who He is and what He does for us. We worship Him because He sent His Son to live among us teaching and serving as the ultimate model for us to become fully human. We worship Him because He calls us His children. We worship Him because He allowed His Son to willingly lay down his life, His blood washing away sin forever, and bringing a new covenant with Him so that we may have eternal life in Him.
