Come Hungry: Feeding on God’s Words – Plain or Loaded?

Many parts of the Bible may not be easy to understand. One way to grasp something you’ve just read is to reread it in a different translation. As we did in this Sunday’s message, read from a translation you usually don’t. For example, read from The Message or The New Century Version, then go back to your usual Bible.

Practice using Psalm 1. Read it in the Bible you usually use. Now, read it from another translation. Last, reread it in your usual Bible.

*What were some of the biggest changes in words between the two?
*In what ways did those changes help you understand better?
*In what ways was it more confusing?
*What did you miss the first time, but understood better later?
