The words of the Bible can pose the biggest challenge to two kinds of people. The first is the person who has never read anything from the Bible. The second is the person who has, but they read something that made no sense to them. How can you share God’s words with someone who doesn’t think what God said is very satisfying? Whether either of those people is you or someone you know, try a bite-size piece. Here are a few to choose from and a question to share or think about.
Genesis 1:1
What do you think has changed the most since that first day?
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
What do you often love the most?
John 3:16
Why do you think God loves the world so much?
Philippians 4:6-7
Do you have anyone you can talk to about what’s bothering you?
Yes, any of these bite-size pieces might stop a conversation, but God has the last word if they do. They may also start a conversation. If they do, God had the first word, and he has more. A full meal starts with one bite.
